Today the most popular view of God is that God is a Trinity composed of three co-equal entities (Father, Son, & Holy Spirit). However, most people in the Church of God hold the belief that the Holy Spirit is simply the power of God and only the Father and Christ are God beings. Many in the Church of God also view the Father and Christ as somewhat interchangeable in that they view the various terms for God in the Bible (LORD, LORD of Hosts, Most High, Almighty, Living God, etc) as generic terms that can be equally applied to both the Father and Christ. Is this view correct or do the Father and Christ each have Their own distinct identities with Biblical terms that uniquely apply to each of Them exclusively? This series of study papers examines these questions in detail.
